Hampton native Ben Buller has combined his love for flying with his recently developed drone photography skills to launch a new business called Ben Buller Aerial Photography.

The demand for reliable, high-speed internet service hit a whole new plateau in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, echoing the research and strategic goals of two University of Nebraska-Kearney professors working to identify and bridge gaps in Nebraska’s rural/urban digital divide.

A downtown building came back to life this month with the debut of a new hair salon whose owner has roots planted deeply in Aurora — hence the name, Hometown Roots.

Safety training firm now calls Aurora home

The Great Plains Safety and Health Organization has planted a flag in Aurora, moving its headquarters from Kearney to just off the downtown square hoping to expand its safety training mission with a location more central to its clientele.

Hampton native Eric Joseph announced plans this week to convert what he believes is an “eyesore” property on Highway 34 into a new home base for his expanding business, Midwest Spray Foam and Custom Installation, LLC.
