Grant will boost Hampton project

A USDA federal grant application process which began in January has resulted in the Village of Hampton being awarded a $148,000 Rural Development Block Grant that will mean major strides forward for the town’s new West B Subdivision project.

Fire destroys L Street garage

A fire at 611 L St. in Aurora destroyed an attached garage and the car in the driveway Friday morning. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in the garage fairly quickly, preventing it from spreading to the house. Watch for more details in this week's ANR.Click the link to watch fire video.

Parent voices concern with 4R policies

The Aurora 4R School Board heard candid concerns from a parent regarding hair policies for elementary students which could be viewed as racially discriminatory as well as a perceived lack of support for expanding the district’s high-ability learners curriculum during Monday’s monthly meeting.

Aurora FBLA members compete, finishing in top 10 at nationals

Aurora High School students recently won awards at the 2023 National Leadership Conference of Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA), the nation’s largest Career and Technical Student Organization focused solely on business.
