The president of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce stopped by for a visit in Hamilton County on Thursday and delivered some good news for Nebraska and communities like Aurora all across the state.

A 17-year-old Aurora High School senior with an eye for the perfect picture and a desire to possibly become a professional photographer is this year’s big winner in the Aurora News-Register’s annual amateur photography contest.

The Giltner Public School Board sent a letter to patrons and community residents last week announcing plans to “explore potential updates” to the district’s facilities, beginning with hiring an architect to launch the planning process.
