Back by popular demand, three area communities are making plans for a combined event inviting area patrons to shop, dine and explore in Central Nebraska. Small Town Market Days had a strong debut in October of last year, then followed up with a spring version of the same concept in April.

Though slowed somewhat by supply chain delays, progress continues to grow more visible each day on construction in the Streeter Subdivision on the west edge of Aurora.
Alan Anderson has changed roles in the last month, transitioning from a 22-year tenure as store manager at Grosshans International to working part-time mowing lawns for the city and also helping out at the Schneider’s Hardware Gun Lounge.

Executive director of the Aurora Development Corporation Kelsey Bergen gave the organization’s 2022 annual report to city council members, offering an overview of the organization’s past work, future projects, partnerships and current issues in bringing business to town.

Owner and founder of Freebird Constuction, LLC Ryan Freeman has been reborn like the phoenix on his logo as a self-employed, one-man crew for local housing needs. Originally from Greeley, an hour northwest of Aurora, Freeman has spent the past near decade as a worker for the Paschke Bros.
Paul and Shelly Bowman have always enjoyed gardening together and made the decision last year to devote more time and attention specifically to flowers, launching Backyard Blooms as a side business from their home in Hampton.
