Led by the individual district champion, the Lady Huskies returned home from the 2024 C-4 District Cross Country Meet as runner-up finishers Thursday evening at Minden.

The Aurora boys cross country team reigned supreme as district champions at the 2024 C-4 competition in Minden on Thursday.Aurora coach Tony Sigler stated the success of the team came from their laser-focused mindset to win.

Aurora and High Plains rolled to big wins Friday night behind big offensive numbers. The Huskies totaled over 350 yards in its biggest offensive output of the season, defeating Milford 56-14.Aurora ran for over 200 yards while adding nearly 150 through the air, scoring 35 points before half.

The Huskies brought the dogfight to Crete Thursday, coming home as runner-up finishers at the Central Conference race behind one of Class B’s finest.Aurora scored 27 points, just five points behind Lexington, who won the team title with 22. Seward was a distant third with 59 points.
Gage Friesen had another huge night on the ground for HPC in a 47-20 win over Lawrence-Nelson Friday, including 196 yards on 18 carries with three TDs. Friesen added 20 tackles defensively and a pick six.

The High Plains football team fell behind early, but left no doubt in the end.Powered by three Gage Friesen rushing touchdowns as well as a pick six, the Storm turned a 14-3 deficit into a 47-20 win at home Friday night.The win moves HPC to a 5-2 record with one game left in the regular season.
