After spending several weeks driving around Lincoln back in May when my wife Tammy had her heart surgery there, I came to a conclusion about the drivers in our capital city. I have decided they are the friendliest motorists in all of Nebraska!How do I know?

It’s time to ‘Make Appeal to Heaven’

Dear Editor:Since Greg and I were carrying an unusual flag in the A’ROR’N Days Parade, an explanation is due.  The flag we carried is a replica of the first flag used in our nation. George Washington commissioned the naval ships during the Revolutionary War, to fly the “An Appeal to Heaven” flag.

Last month I had the opportunity to give the recruitment team from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) a tour of Aurora.  Their stop in Aurora was part of a larger tour visiting communities in the central part of Nebraska.

Aurora should have fireworks display on 4th

Dear Editor:For the first time in at least 60 years, there won’t be a July 4th fireworks display in Aurora and that is unfortunate. A town this size shouldn’t have trouble raising funds or putting some funds in the right budget for this celebration.
