County commissioners denied a request from Griess Truck Wash Monday to expand a lagoon system used to handle wastewater from the I-80 facility’s cattle washout bays.

With the days creeping closer to when students will be back in the halls in Aurora schools across the district, Supt. Jody Phillips led a Monday evening special school board meeting with the intention of finalizing a back-to-school/school reopening policy.

High Plains rolls out school plans

The High Plains Board of Education held a special meeting July 27 to help prepare for the beginning of the 2020/21 school year. “They (the board) adopted a resolution that we are going to start with in-class school at the start of the year,” Supt. Brian Tonniges explained.

Nebraska Wesleyan University has announced its Academic Honors List for the spring semester of the 2019- 2020 academic year. A student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 (on a 4.00 scale) for 12 or more hours of coursework to qualify for the list.
