After a full week of rehearsals and workshops, 24 students from across central and eastern Nebraska showcased all they had learned from their time at Broadway Academy this past weekend at Central City High School.

The Edgerton Explorit Center has introduced the fourth and final addition to its Raptors on the Move program. Jet the American kestrel joined the flock several weeks ago and made one of its first public appearances during A’ROR’N Days.
Desiree Christenson ventured out into a nearby field in November, walking beneath an irrigation pivot to capture a different perspective of the Northern Lights display. The photo won first place in the Aurora Borealis category and was named grand champion in this year’s amateur photo contest.

The city’s role as owner/operator of a fire-based ambulance service will come to an end next month as the Aurora City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a three-year contract with Colorado-based EMS Unlimited.

Looking back on nearly her entire life in the nursing field, former Hamilton Manor Director of Nursing Bonnie Jones believes one of her best qualities that helped her succeed was her drive to provide the best care to her patients.“I was born to be a nurse,” Jones said.

Having served more than 16,000 meals over the last 12 months, either on-site or through its Meals on Wheels and drive-through pickup programs, the Hamilton County Senior Center is thought of by many as just a place for older people to get a hot, nutritious meal at a reasonable price.
