High Plains honors those who served

High Plains Community students young and old gathered in one place Thursday to honor local heroes.  HPC hosted its annual Veterans Day program with plenty of local heroes present, taking a moment from a busy day to stop, reflect and honor.

Giltner celebrates local veterans on Marine’s birthday

Nov. 10 was a special day in Giltner for a variety of reasons.  The school held its fourth annual Veterans Day program with a myriad of vets and students alike gathered to honor those who served.

Scary good time results in high food donation total

The heart of Aurora was the place for spooks and goblins, all for a good cause over Halloween weekend.  Aurora native Carl Franklin scared up plenty of good times over Halloween weekend and while doing so put together a big donation for the Hamilton County Food Pantry.

K Street fitness facility has new owners

An Aurora fitness center was in the midst of change last week with new owners, a new name and an expanded mission to offer personal training services as well as 24/7 facility access to a wide range of clients.
