Clayton Anthony Rath, age 50, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in Dallas, Texas.Clay was undergoing treatment for throat cancer with a good prognosis, but he died very suddenly and unexpectedly of sepsis.

Allan Karl Ackerman, was born on July 24, 1939, in Sutton, to Karl and Elenora Ackerman, passed away July 9, 2024, at Hansen House Nursing Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Allan (Butch) graduated from Phillips High School in 1957 and then enlisted in the US Army.

Nicky Bartling

Nicky Dean Bartling, son of Arlo D. Bartling and Rosemary L. Elvers passed away on June 20, 2024, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha at the age of 66 surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born on March 1, 1958 in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Holloman Air Force Hospital.

Dallas Amend

Dallas H. Amend passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 86.  He was born March 31, 1938 in Aurora. His parents were Harold and Elizabeth “Betty” (Beideck) Amend.  He attended Aurora High School,  graduating in 1956. Immediately after graduating he enlisted in the Navy and served from 1956 - 1960.

Jim Strayer

Jim Strayer died at his home in Littleton, Colorado, on June 20, 2024. He is the son of Marge and Ernie Strayer, formerly of Fairbury. Both preceded him in death.A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Aurora.
