Bolstered Hampton roster bodes well for 2020 season

A boost in numbers and experience bodes well for Hampton’s football team entering the 2020 campaign. Second-year coach Carson Klute noted during the preseason that the players’ familiarity with his terminology and playbook is cause for optimism.

Giltner coach Chip Bartos believes physicality will play a big factor in the success of the Hornet football team in 2020. That’s an odd thing to comprehend about a football program that’s prided itself on speed and quickness for such a long time.

‘Storm’ set for gridiron return in 2020 campaign

Following one of the most successful two-year cooperatives in Nebraska high school football history, High Plains takes the field in 2020 once again as the Storm in the 8-man game.

Practices have begun for fall sports teams at all area schools, with coaches and players adapting to pandemic protocols not knowing for certain how, or if, the 2020 season will play out. Many teams are wearing masks before and during practice, as well as in the locker room.

Small school feel a perfect fit for Klingsporn

Just five years removed from competing in high school athletics, Brittany (Dose) Klingsporn still looks like she can succeed at the varsity level. In fact, she hopped right into practice warm-ups and drills with her new team to demonstrate something or keep the flow moving.
