“Every morning you wake up looking for a message and it’s not there. I don’t want to delay the start of my life anymore than I have to. It honestly felt like 400 pounds was lifted off my shoulders when I called my agent to say I’m hanging up the cleats.

It’s a practice facility Austin Allen has become quite familiar with. Corey Hoelck, on the other hand, not so much.  Yet, for a short time March 22, the former Hamilton County standout athletes were shoulder to shoulder, showing off for NFL scouts at the Hawks Championship Center.

A record-setting season has led to some postseason accolades for Austin Allen.  Allen was selected to the 1st team All-Big Ten by the media Wednesday and was also named the Big Ten tight end of the year.
