A trio of former Aurora standouts each found the field for the Nebraska football team Saturday.

Austin Allen alongside brothers Ian and Nate Boerkircher each saw playing time in the Huskers' 52-7 win against Fordham Saturday in Nebraska's home-opener.

Allen finished the afternoon with four receptions on 61 yards. He averaged just over 15 yards per reception with many of his yards coming after the catch.

N. Boerkircher entered the game for the first time in the third quarter at tight end, taking multiple snaps on offense. Late in the third quarter, Nebraska ran a two tight end set that featured both Allen and N. Boerkircher on the field at the same time.

I. Boerkircher, who played his first snap for the Huskers a week ago at Illinois, played his first snaps at Memorial Stadium Saturday, playing on special teams in the extra point formation.

All three former Huskies were included in the Illinois travel roster a week ago. Saturday was the first time the Boerkircher brothers suited up for a Husker home game.

Nebraska moves to 1-1 on the season and will be back at home next Saturday against Buffalo.
