WIC clinics give updates for July

WIC continues to serve clients remotely to protect it’s clients and staff. If someone has a WIC appointment they will be contacting them per mail and texting when their telephone conference is scheduled. Call the WIC office at 308-745-0780 Ext 136 or 137 if there are any questions or concerns.

Early fireworks

The night sky lit up Saturday with the Aurora Chamber of Commerce’s annual fireworks display. This year’s event drew a crowd of cars that filled much of the fairgrounds, though spectators were not allowed in the grandstands due to social distancing concerns.

Past Aurora courthouse stands tall

This old courthouse in Hamilton County was photographed in 1878 with 11 men and one woman standing in front. A child was on the second floor looking out of a window. This building would ultimately end up burning down in 1894.
