Youth’s newest hobby forged with blacksmith fire

A group of children surrounded a burning furnace despite the sweltering July heat. They watched with eager eyes as a piece of metal was pulled from the fire and shaped into a spiral.
Members of the Phillips community showed up loud and proud to their annual July 3 celebration. Many volunteers were on hand to make the magic happen. Pleasant View Bible Church completes 47th year of Awana Club

Pleasant View Bible Church finished its 47th year of Awana Club in May. The awards night and the opening night for the next year will be combined on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. Bible camp scholarships were sent to the clubbers in order for them to use them this summer.
