Giltner board reviews school lunch program

The Giltner School Board extensively discussed its lunch program during its Monday night meeting, going over how to motivate families to fill out the free and reduced lunch forms and discussing other issues with the lunch program.
Jon Brueggeman, who serves as pastor of the Belvidere Church, gave the keynote presentation during Thursday’s National Day of Prayer event at The Leadership Center.

Caps, gowns, tassels and hugs will be the order of the day Saturday in two area communities, as Hampton High School and High Plains in Polk will be graduating members of their classes of 2026. HPC's commencement will be first, starting at 1 p.m. in the high school gym.

The Hamilton Community Foundation (HCF) continues to grow its scholarship program thanks to the generosity and long-term vision of donors who believe in the power of education.
Giltner High School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 Sunday afternoon with 19 graduates walking on stage to receive their diplomas. Prior to the ceremony, students from the class made a TikTok together lip syncing to “I’ll Always Remember You” from “Hannah Montana.” Pictured in front, from left: Harley Fesuluai, Gracie Kreutz, Alice Puhl. Laughter and tears came in waves throughout the Giltner High School gymnasium Sunday afternoon as 19 seniors gathered one last time for their graduation ceremony.The Class of 2026 was represented by three of its members, who spoke about their accomplishments and memories to everyone in attendance.
