(UPDATED) Voter turnout 81% in Hamilton County

Predictions of high voter turnout in Tuesday's General Election in Hamilton County turned out to be accurate, as 81 percent of registered voters voted by mail, drop off and at the polls. In all, 5,641 ballots were cast in the county out of a total of 6,963 registered voters.

It's finally here... General Election Day 2024! As expected, the polls are unusually busy today across Nebraska. On Monday Secretary of State Bob Evnen’s office sent out a press release predicting 72 percent voter turnout in today's election.

Growing up her family’s farm run by her father and grandfather, Aurora High School graduate Ellie Wanek’s interest in agriculture goes back as far as she can remember.“My first influence would be my dad and grandpa, because they were the ones that ran the farm,” Wanek said.
