Sunflower seeds, good intentions cause dilemma

Another 40-pound bag of sunflower seeds...and the crisis continues. What began as the simple feeding of the birds has expanded to the feeding not only unwanted birds, but squirrels and our two dogs.

Each year we find it more difficult to like cold weather. Looking at the calendar and future weather forecasts it looks like we’ll have some tough days ahead of us. There’s not much we can do other than try to laugh at Ol’ Man Winter. And that’s what we are going to do.

Lefties have to work just a little harder to get job done

I tend to be somewhat partial (and sympathetic) to lefthanders since I, too, am a “lefty.” I’ve been ribbed that I twisted my wrist to write because early teachings made me place my paper on the desk at the same angle as right-handed classmates.

I’ve always been late when it comes to keeping up with fashion. I’m sure to many of you this comes as no new news. In fact, some believe I never was in fashion anytime, no matter how late.
I can recall when in my youth I would get a new pair of jeans that were dark blue and worn only to school.
