The Aurora City Council updated several local ordinances last week, making minor language revisions to reflect changes in various state laws passed last year by the Nebraska Legislature. At the end of the Feb.

Marlin Seeman opened the Jan. 11 meeting of the Aurora City Council by announcing his attention to seek another four-year term as mayor. “I really enjoy it and secondly I think I have a voice in the community,” Seeman said.

City leaders agreed earlier this month to extend the terms of a Community Development Block Grant program, allowing the Aurora Development Corporation two more years to meet job creation requirements tied to a $710,000 grant from the Nebraska Development of Economic Development.
