Aurora's wrestling team pushed 10 wrestlers through the finals in both the boys and girls brackets.

Seven of those won gold.

The Husky boys finished runner-up while the girls team finished third at Saturday's Central Conference meet held at Columbus Lakeview.

On the boys side, the Huskies featured six finalists with four of those taking gold medals.

Britton Kemling started what was a hot run for Aurora, winning gold at 160 before Brekyn Papineau at 182, Mack Owens at 195 and Aaron Jividen at 285 all won their individual bracket.

Jack Allen's match had the most intense finish, but lost in double overtime to GINW"s Victor Isele. Tyson Kottwitz added a runner-up finish while Karsten Hohm finished fourth.

The Lady Huskies had similar success with four finalists. Kehlanee Bengtson, Tiffany Senff and Tia Teigre were all first-ever Central Conference champs in their respective brackets, each doing so with pinfall victories in the finals.

Natalie Bisbee was a runner-up finisher while Mae Sikes added a third and Ayeanna Smith was fourth.
