Monty James Maw, 73, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.  Celebration of Life Services will be Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Community Room (1515 17th Street) with Pastor Jim Garfield officiating.  Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m.

Larry Fenster Sr., age 78, of Central City, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at NHI in Lincoln. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 25 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Michelle Reed will officiate. Inurnment will be at the Aurora Cemetery.

Aileen Chieko Gilliland

Aileen Chieko Gilliland, 74, of Henderson, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:05 a.m. Feb. 16, 2022. A burial service will be held at Buhler Memorial Cemetery, Buhler, Kans. at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Randall 'Randy' Marlatt

Randall (Randy) Lee Marlatt passed away February 8, 2022 in Omaha, from complications of covid and pneumonia. Randall (Randy) Lee Marlatt was born June 12, 1968 in Grand Island, to Curtis and  Jeanette (Cornelius) Marlatt. Randy graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora in  1986.

Yvonne Wolinski

Yvonne E. Wolinski, 84, of Farwell, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian of Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Farwell. The Revs. Vince Parsons and Tom Ryan will concelebrate the Mass.

Carolyn Roehrs, age 71, of Bradshaw, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at CHI-St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 18 at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton.  Rev. David Feddern will officiate.

Mary Ekhoff, age 72, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Memorial Community Care. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 15 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 415 South 18th Street in Aurora.  Rev. Rudy Flores will officiate.

Norma Gertsch

Norma Faye Gertsch (Hellbusch) passed away peacefully entering God’s rest on Sunday, February 6, 2022, with family at her side.  She was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2021 and then relocated to Houston, Texas to be near her two children Leon and Lisa.
