Sharon Kay ‘Shari’ Promes age 81 of Aurora, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Country House Residence in Grand Island. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Harvard resident Gary Lee Samuelson, 78, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Legacy Square in Henderson.   Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, with Pastor Vance Christie officiating.

Dolores Johns, 85, of Elm Creek passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elm Creek. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Elm Creek.

Donald Andersen

Donald R. Andersen, 84, of Hordville, left his earthly body on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg with Pastor Ricardo Riqueza officiating.

Shirley (Eckerson) White

Shirley Ann (Eckerson) White, the daughter of Ray S. and Margaret (Lewis) Eckerson, was born at Aurora on Oct. 27, 1931 and died in Tyler, Texas, after suffering a stroke, on June 9, 2022, at the age of 90. Shirley was united in marriage to Alvin White on Sept. 23, 1967 in Manhattan, Kans.

JoAnn Landenberger

JoAnn M. Landenberger, age 86, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 2 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora.

Mary Haase, age 85, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Mary Beth Haase, the daughter of Cecil D. and Mabel I. (Pearson) Romsdal, was born on the family farm near Bradshaw, on April 11, 1937.

Alan Danielson, age 61, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27 at the Presbyterian U.C.C. in Aurora. Rev. Penny Schulz will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7  p.m.

Patricia (Pat) Lynn Shanes, 78, of Aurora, passed away June 21, 2022. She was buried per her wishes in a private family ceremony near her childhood home at Rushville, Missouri. Pat was born on May 13, 1944 to William and Laverne (Witte) Magers in Atchison, Kansas.
