Derek D. Nissen died on October 19, 2022 in Aurora, at the age of fifty-four. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in rural Marquette on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Arthur "Ed" Nilson

Arthur Edward (“Ed11 ) Nilson passed away on August 28, 2022 surrounded by family after a battle with prostate cancer. An avid hiker and poet, Ed loved nature, spending time with his family, and debating theology and politics with friends.

Philip Troester, age 67, of Hampton, was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 12, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 17 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church, with burial at Salem Lutheran Cemetery prior to the service at 9:30 a.m.

Diana G. Hofrichter, 65, of Central City passed away on October 7, 2022 at her home.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 1 p.m. at True North Church in Grand Island.  Pastor Paul Canady will officiate. Diana was born on Nov.

Darrell Purdy, 86, of Aurora, passed away at Memorial Community Care on Saturday, October 1, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Michelle Reed will officiate.

Doris Erickson

Doris J. Erickson, 93, of Clarks, died Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.  Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dianne (Reisinger) Parker

Dianne D. Parker (Reisinger), 63, of Grand Island died Monday, September 26, 2022, at Emerald Nursing Care at Lakeview in Grand Island. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 at the New Life Community Church in Grand Island.  The Rev. Sean Amen will officiate.
