George Wanek

George Allen Wanek was born in Aurora, to George Clayton and Martha Jane (Kimball) Wanek. He passed away on October 27, 2024, in Grand Island, at the age of 86.George grew up in Aurora, graduating from Aurora High School in 1956, then from Creighton University with a degree in Mathematics in 1960.

Elsie Stonestreet, age 91, of Lincoln, formerly of Aurora, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at Gateway Vista in Lincoln.Elsies’s wishes were to be cremated.  The family will have a Memorial Service for her sometime next spring.   Inurnment will be at the North Logan Cemetery north of St. Paul.

LeRoy Vern Friesen was born October 5, 1936, to Peter O. and Helen (Bergen) Friesen on a farm south of Aurora. He had two sisters, Arlene and Kathleen. LeRoy received his primary education at District 27 and 85 in Hamilton County.
