There was a magnificent turnout for Giltner Daze Saturday with high spirits taking the small showers throughout the day during the second annual Giltner Daze Car Show as well events for all ages.

HPC board sets meal prices for 2024-25

The High Plains school board approved increased meal prices for the 2024-25 school year at its regular meeting Monday night. The increase comes as Supt. Kim Beran reported the school attempts to keep pace with rising food prices.

Synergen Green Energy Inc. is temporarily pausing development activities on the planned ammonia plant project on Highway 34 just west of Aurora, company officials announced Tuesday in a press release.

A pair of local villages kicked off the summer of '24 with sizzling annual community celebrations last weekend! Hampton celebrated the 60th anniversary of Booster Days June 7-9, with fun events for all ages, including a street dance, parade, community barbecue and sand volleyball tournament.
