On one hand, getting hyped for a Monday afternoon tipoff at 3 p.m. could be challenging. On the other hand, it’s the freaking CRC tournament played in one of the best gymnasiums in all of Nebraska. That’s exciting.

Aurora’s offense hit a higher gear this week scoring season highs in back to back games to post wins over St. Paul and Schuyler.
High Plains senior Wyatt Urkoski had a big weekend for the Storm, collecting his 100th career pinfall victory while earning gold at the Norm Manstedt Invitational, bringing back outstanding wrestler of the meet honors. Urkoski defeated wrestlers from Classes A, B and C during the tournament.

A single, bright white light and a daunting crowd was a lot for a youthful Husky wrestling team to overcome.In its first dual competition of the season, Aurora won its share of matches but in the end lost pace with its rival GINW, 54-24 Dec. 19.
