Aurora duo finishes runner-up at NSG

He’s got motocross is his blood

Motocross racing runs in the Meyer family and this week son Karson has throttled his way into the spotlight. The 15-year-old Aurora sophomore punched his ticket earlier this summer to one of the sport’s premier events — the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch.

The Omel 6 -- a winning tradition

2010: Aurora on cusp of state tourney berth

The Aurora Legion Seniors continued on their remarkable run in the Class B Area 5 Tournament Monday night, sending top-seed O’Neill home by earning a 7-2 win. The victory put Aurora in the championship game set for Tuesday night at 5 p.m. against third-seed Central City.

2000: Aurora girls compete in state tourney

Willis General Contracting of Aurora finished 1-2 at the State Class C Softball Tournament this weekend in O’Neill. Play began Friday and continued through Sunday, with 47 games on three fields in the double-elimination tournament. The Aurora team finished in the top 12.
