In an early-season gauge for both teams, Giltner and High Plains put on a show for those limited in attendance.
After getting off to a slow start, the Lady Storm charged ahead thanks to some aggressive attacks, defeating the Lady Hornets in three sets, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-16.
High Plains coach Brittany Klingsporn, in her first event as HPC’s coach, was all smiles after the event as the Storm headed home with a 2-0 record.
