A week ago, Rod Worrell wrote a newspaper headline he hated to type:“Ainsworth Star-Journal to Cease Publication on December 25.” A similar headline proclaimed the impending demise of the Midland News of Valentine. Worrell and his wife, Kathy, own both newspapers.
