High Plains Community Schools will see a raise in substitute pay for the 2022-23 school year, based on the school board’s vote during its regular meeting.  A year ago, HPC paid substitutes $60 for a half day and $120 for the full day.

Familiar tunes will ring out over the bricks on the downtown square, week after week through the long, hot summer. Bands on the Bricks is back for its fifth year of high afternoon fun every Friday through Aug. 12 starting Friday with the Devon Worley Band. Performances run from 6 to 9 p.m.

On July 3, Phillips residents came out to celebrate in their typical fesitve fashion. Starting at 5 p.m there were bursts of activities for all ages and a dinner at 6.
