Carlson, Strobel to work to improve county park
It has been clear over the last few years that Tooley Park, located in rural Marquette, is important to many members of the Hamilton County community.
Local Nebraska Christian students Ethan Carlson and Christian Strobel joined the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners Monday to request permission to complete a set of betterment projects at the park as part of a capstone project for school.
The boys plan to take on a majority of the work on their own, though through discussion had Monday, will likely be working closely with Hamilton County Highway Supt. Jeremy Brandt.
“Myself and Christian are part of a class called Strategic Leadership,” Carlson began. “In this class we are learning to improve the community and lead overall in a group of our peers.”
