The sale of the Phillips Memorial Hall from the village to the Phillips Community Foundation which has been in the works since last spring finally passed last Tuesday night on a unanimous vote of the three village board members who actually voted.

Aurora firefighters responded Wednesday afternoon to two small fires west of Aurora near the overpass on Hwy 34, both of which reportedly appeared to have been caused by something coming from a passing vehicle.

A multigenerational group of about 60 gathered in the sweltering 90-plus heat of Sunday afternoon to formally dedicate and open Aurora’s second disc golf course — the Merwyn and Betty Davidson Memorial Disc Golf Fitness Trail in Streeter Park.
