Synergen open house Tuesday
Officials will offer information on proposed ammonia plant
Synergen Green Energy Inc. will host a community open house on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Bremer Community Center in Aurora from 5 to 7 p.m. The open house is an opportunity to learn more about Synergen’s plans for an ammonia facility in Hamilton County.
Representatives from Synergen will be present to answer questions about the project’s development and countywide impact, along with experts from Olsson, the Lincoln-based engineering firm that completed the facility’s hydrological analysis.
The ammonia plant project is planned for an existing industrial corridor along Highway 34 west of Aurora. Upon completion (projected for the end of 2026) the plant would produce approximately 600 metric tons per day of ammonia for fertilizer and other uses. Synergen has reported that the project would not emit greenhouse gases or other toxic pollutants into the air, water or soil.
