HPC’s Lane Urkoski won the discus event at the D-2 district in Osceola with a throw of 131-09 and will compete at state in the event.
Kale Bish was a runner-up finisher in the pole vault event with a mark of 11-08, qualifying for his first state track meet.
Hampton’s Brayden Dose competed in the high jump at Saturday’s rescheduled High Plains Invite, finishing third.
Caden Carlson won the pole vault event at Monday’s Central Nebraska Track Championships with a mark of 14-03.
Pam Emahizer will welcome retirement after 36 years in education. She is set to be replaced after this school year by one of her former fourth grade students, Ashley (Pachta) Gustafson.
