Aurora made plays all over the diamond Thursday, both at the plate and in the field during an 11-2 win at Central City.  One of its biggest defensive plays was not-your-normal 6-3-5 double play to keep Central City off the board.

The Lady Huskies ran to a third place finish in Friday’s home cross country invite, paced by an emerging junior leader whose confidence and off-season conditioning is beginning to show. Aurora totaled 57 points, trailing only Class B Seward and Hastings, with 25 and 51 points, respectively.

Friday night roundup week 3

Aurora's first win of the season highlighted the area team effort during the third week of the high school football season.  The Huskies flexed its muscles at home, defeating Scottsbluff, moving to 1-2 on the year heading into a road contest with Omaha Gross next week.

Area teams split triangular

By the end of Hampton's triangular Thursday night, each team in action had one win and one defeat.  Hampton beat Dorchester to start the night, the Longhorns upended Giltner in three before the Lady Hornets got the best of the Lady Hawks in straight sets to end the evening.
