Giltner continued a string of success last week, adding two more wins to its total before a much-needed reset.The Hornets played a perfect triangular, defeating Axtell 25-20 and 28-26 before downing Harvard 25-19 and 25-16, improving its season record to 7-4 as September nears conclusion.

The weekend was uncharacteristic in so many ways for the Aurora football team.A weather delay pushed its kickoff time with Norris back nearly 24 hours. The Huskies had four first half turnovers, two in its first three plays. Allowed a defensive touchdown. Eleven total penalties in the game.

The Aurora softball team got back on the winning side Thursday night. The Lady Huskies went on the road to challenge rival Central City and for the second time this season downed the Bison, this time by a 13-3 score.

Storm make emotional return to volleyball

High Plains and Nebraska Christian played volleyball in Polk Thursday night but it was much more than just a game.For the Storm, it was the team’s first game back following the tragic loss of their teammate and friend, Payton Ackerson, who passed away in an accident over Labor Day weekend.
