Carol Jones, age 83 of Colby, KS, formerly of Twin Lakes, east of Central City, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Citizens Medical Center in Colby, KS. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 15 at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.    Rev. Penny Schulz will officiate.

Robert Ray Shaneyfelt, 80, of Tillson, New York passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 24, 1940 in Marquette, he was the son of the late Ralph Boyd and Margaret (McGee) Shaneyfelt.

Michael Johnson

Michael Todd Johnson, 59, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ.  Mike was born on Sept. 13, 1961, in Central City to Dale and Stanla (Scherffius) Johnson. Mike graduated from Aurora High School in 1980.

Dianne Buller

Dianne R. Buller, age 59, of Henderson, died Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Grand Island. She was born January 25, 1961 in Grand Island, to Jacob H. and Sophia (Quiring) Buller. Dianne graduated from Bradshaw High School in 1979, and completed her Associates Degree from SCC, Milford.

David Dieckmann

David Dieckmann, 74, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.  Inurnment will be at the Douglas Park Cemetery.   Services, which will be conducted by Pastor Matthew Roberts of Calvary Baptist Church, are pending.

Phyllis Peters

Phyllis Peters, age 88, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. For everyone’s safety, the family will hold a memorial service at a future date.  Condolences may be mailed directly to the mortuary that will be forwarded onto the family.

Phillis Brown

Phillis Rose Brown age 98 formerly of Cambridge, passed away at the Holdrege Memorial Homes on January 4, 2021.  She was a twin, born at home near Norman, on January 19, 1922 to Christian and Agnes (Larsen) Sorensen.

Mark Cleveland

On Saturday, December 19, 2020, Mark Cleveland, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly at the age of 65. Mark was born on December 12, 1955 in Oak Park, Illinois to Richard and Ruth (Ketelsen) Cleveland.

Lanny Ang

Lanny Lee Ang, 77, struggled with the flares of M.S. all his adult life but December 22, 2020 lost his short fight with lung cancer at his home.  A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at the Polk Laclede Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Solt-Wagner Funeral Home.

Marcia Lee Galusha, 67, of Hastings, died December 20, 2020, at home in Hastings. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at l1 a.m. at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Pastor Bev Hieb officiating. There will be no visitation or burial.
