Cindy Friesen, of Grand Island, formerly of Henderson, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 21 at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Rev. Andrea Wall will officiate. Interment will at the Farmers Valley Cemetery, east of Stockham.

Harris Dean Ulmer, 93, of North Platte, passed away on May 8, 2021, at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte. He was born in Grafton, to Herman “Harry” Henry Ulmer and Martha Barbara (Nicolaus) Ulmer on Dec. 26, 1927. Harris graduated from Grafton High School.

Emily Bish, age 36, of Lincoln, formerly of Giltner, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at her caregiver’s loving home in Lincoln. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 21 at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church, 1001 West 18 Road, Phillips.  Rev. Mark Dunham and Rev.

Louise Umbenhower

Louise Ann Umbenhower, age 89, of Aurora went home to be with Jesus on May 13, 2021 at Memorial Community Care in Aurora with her family by her side. Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, May 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Aurora. Father Loras Grell will officiate.

Frank Vetter, age 67, of Sedona, Arizona, passed away on October 26, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Greg Reed and Rev. Dr. Cindy Parker will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Connie Shaneyfelt, age 74, of Aurora, died Friday, May 7, 2021, at Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Pastor Penny Schulz will officiate. There will be no visitation.  Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.

Margaret ‘Marge’ Louise Clark Allen, 70, passed away on May 1 after a long illness. There will be no local service. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memorials can be directed to Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.

Delores A. Meyers, 93 of Grand Island died on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at CHI Health-St. Francis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island.  Reverend Michael Reiners will officiate.  Visitation will be an hour before service time. Burial will be 2 p.m.

Gail Wert, age 83, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Country House in Grand Island. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 7 at the Aurora Methodist Church, 1104 A Street, Aurora. Revs. Greg and Michelle Reed will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.

JoAnn Bedell

JoAnn Bedell,86, of Phillips went to her heavenly home May 1, 2021 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow visitation at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
