Charles Clark
Charles “Chuck” Edward Clark was born on Nov. 17, 1949, in Milford, Nebr. His parents were Irvin and Loretta Clark. He grew up in Norfolk, Nebr., attending Sacred Heart Elementary School and Norfolk Catholic High School. He welcomed his first daughter, Jennifer in his earlier marriage, in 1969.
After graduating from UNO in 1972, with a bachelor’s degree, he remained living in Omaha working various jobs. He met Carolyn Harley in 1976, and they were married in 1977. As of his passing, they were married 48 years. Chuck and Carolyn raised five children while he pursued a career in insurance sales. Over the years, they lived in various towns in Nebraska, finally settling in Lincoln.
Chuck had nine grandchildren that he cherished and loved deeply. Outside of spending time with his family, his second greatest joy was Nebraska Husker football. He was an avid sports fan in general, always keeping track of sports statistics and collecting memorabilia. Reading was a recent hobby and in true Chuck fashion, his collection of books threatened to overtake his house.
Chuck was very personable and charismatic and family, friends, and clients all enjoyed his sense of humor and kind heart. He had the most amazing memory for numbers, dates, statistics and birthdays. If you couldn’t remember an event, he could tell you the day and date it took place within seconds.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Loretta, and infant Son, Charles Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Carolyn, his children Jennifer Moore, Ben Clark (Dana), Andrew Clark, Emily Chapman (Patrick), Amanda Dampf (Ryan), and Molly Rosenberg (Eric), grandchildren Shawn LaHood (Ali) and Ryan LaHood (Leena), Ava, Olivia, Allie, and Henry Chapman and Electra, Violet, and Zena Rosenberg and many wonderful lifelong friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Butherus Maser and Love funeral home, 4040 A St, Lincoln.
