Friday and Saturday were emotional days for a number of Nebraska farmers, including Jonathan Rempel and his family of Henderson -- victims of a now widely-seen farm fire that claimed his combine, grain cart and a semi in the early hours of Oct. 15.

Hamilton County Board Chairman Rich Nelson provided his fellow commissioners with an update on the status of the 911 interlocal negotiations with Merrick County during their regularly scheduled Monday meeting.

The Aurora Development Corporation sold several housing lots and helped FedEx Freight expand its operations near the I-80 intersection during the past fiscal year while also revamping internal operations by hiring its first-ever executive director. Those were among the highlights reported Oct.

Aurora sets sights on defending state title The Aurora boys cross country team emerged victorious Thursday at the C-4 district meet in Minden and now heads to Kearney hoping to defend its 2019 state championship title. Alongside the team win, five runners brought home individual medals.
