Oct. 17 was moving day, not for Mitch and Laura Oswald, but for the house they had lived in for years which made its way west to a new location on Gunbarrel Road in Grand Island.

An Aurora native is the winner of this year’s Marvin Spomer Novice Art Teacher of the Year award from the Nebraska Art Teachers Association. Melissa Sellers, a 2016 graduate of Aurora High School, is in her third year of teaching art at Mickle Middle School in Lincoln.

An investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) continues into an accident that took the life of state Department of Transportation worker Dave Schwartz of Aurora last Tuesday, Oct. 17.
