Council approves plan for Hwy 34 approach onto Grant Street

The Aurora City Council gave the green light last week to have engineers begin planning for a new approach at the Highway 34 intersection with Grant Street, a project which could begin construction by spring or early summer of 2024.

IH Collectors gather in Aurora

More than 100 members of the Nebraska chapter of the International Harvester Collectors organization gathered in Aurora Saturday, conducting a quarterly business meeting while also spending part of the afternoon viewing antique farm equipment at the Plainsman Museum.

Mitchell grateful for military training

Brett Mitchell’s life today as president of Fontel, Inc. in Aurora and a husband and father of two is markedly different from a few years ago when he was flying fighter jets in the U.S. Navy, but he says has no regrets about retiring early to come home to take over the family business.
