The grass was gently swaying Saturday while barn swallows playfully swooped around the restored barn at Gjerloff Prairie. More than 100 people stood outside as they were greeted by Bill Whitney, co-founder of Prairie Plains Resource Institute to the grand opening of the Charles L.

Edgerton holiday fundraiser cancelled, donations still critical

Out of concern for the safety of its own community, the staff and board of Aurora’s Edgerton Explorit Center have decided to cancel the annual holiday fundraiser celebration.

Edgerton afterschool program sees outdoor adventure

The Edgerton Explorit Center’s Afterschool Program took a field trip last week, inviting young participants to try their hand at hatchet throwing and archery. Students traveled to Camp Cosmopolitan in Grand Island, where they were shown how to safely throw hatchets and shoot arrows at targets.
