Jana Kay VanHousen, age 62, of Alliance, passed away at her home on April 17, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jana was born on January 28, 1961, in Williston, ND.  She was the only child of Everett B. and Leona E. (Krebs) Weed.

Glen Green

Glen R. Green, Lincoln, formerly of Aurora, age 95, passed away peacefully at his home in assisted living on Monday, April 10, 2023. Cremation has been held. Glen was born in Council Bluffs, IA. Sept. 13, 1927.  He grew up on a farm northwest of Osceola, where he attended Dist. 48 Country School.

Nina Marie Jensen

Nina Marie Jensen was born Dec. 20, 1935 and passed away Feb. 13, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg near Marquette. Nina Marie was born on Dec. 20, 1935 to Kenneth and Clara June Johnson.

Joan Gowen

Joan Gowen, age 89, of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Westfield Quality Care. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Seiker will officiate. Interment will be at the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.

Robert Andrews

Robert Lee Andrews - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend - passed away at Memorial Hospital in Aurora, on Monday, January 23, 2023. Per Bob’s wishes, his body was donated for research and will be cremated at the completion of study.

Richard Ray Olson (known as Rich), 74, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Buffet Cancer Center of the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.  Rich was born on August 26, 1948, to Winston Atly and Nellie Corinne (Warren) Olson.

Thomas Dodson, age 82, of Giltner, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 14 at the Christian Resource Center, 603 South K Road, Giltner.  Pastor Paul Nauman will officiate.

Dale Wall passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Dale’s Celebration of Life will be held at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, on June 17 at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Hampton Fire Department, in Hampton. No Visitation.

Beverly Vaught

Beverly Faye (Ohnesorge) Vaught, of Henderson, passed away on March 30, 2023 at the age of 89. Beverly was born October 12, 1933 on a farm near Strang, in Fillmore County. She was the second child of Herman and Alma (Hopken) Ohnesorge and was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on July 20, 1934.
