PPRI center put to good use by Youth Naturalists

A group of 10 students took a deeper dive into learning about the diverse Hamilton County landscape around them last week, enjoying a full slate of activities as part of the Prairie Plains Resource Institute’s Youth Naturalist Program.

Emma Snoberger follows passion for ag to NAYI

The annual Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI) is a week-long event for high school students to gather, network and gain education about future careers. Emma Snoberger was one of the around 150 high school students from across the state that was selected to participate in this year’s event.

Learning the game

The Aurora golf coaching staff held a youth golf clinic last week at Poco Creek to get youngsters introduced and hopefully spurn a love for the game at the same time. Campers learned the basics of the game, including putting, chipping and several drills to practice with.

Night L.I.F.E program seeks to empower youth

Students throughout Hamilton County will have a new opportunity to gain leadership skills while enjoying food, friends and activities through the Night L.I.F.E., leadership in a fun environment. The new non-profit program is through the Banisters Leadership Academy, based out of Omaha.
