Survey shows Nebraska ag land values rising

by Kurt Johnson The market value of agricultural land in Nebraska increased 14 percent over the prior year, to an average of $3,835 per acre, according to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s 2023 Nebraska Farm Real Estate Market Survey preliminary report.

Hawk Herd’s first calved cow set for school lunches

Wally, the first cow to be raised from birth to two years old at Hampton Public School, was processed in a USDA-inspected facility in Henderson Feb. 23, offering a valuable lesson to students as to where meat comes from.
