Note to my younger self: keep dreaming

As my senior year is starting to come to an end, I’ve been spending a lot of time reflecting on what young Emma was like and how I got to where I am now. When I was young, I was incredibly shy.

Unique parents, forever and always

Neither my mom or dad parented my siblings and me “traditionally.” My parents themselves didn’t come from normal upbringings. Due to my grandpa being in the Navy, my mom moved around the world every three years.

Seniors strive for balance

Being in high school is a balancing act.  Many kids are multi-sport athletes, multi-activity performers or somewhere in between -- there is rarely ever a minute of downtime for us students, especially seniors.

Hello world; I’m Emma, your new ANR intern

As an 18-year-old who has been given a column space to write about anything I’d like, it would suffice to say that I’m a little nervous. So, I decided an introduction to who I am would be a great way to start.

Aurora High School senior Emma Bullerman was honored during the Class C1 football finals Nov. 22 as an NSAA Believers and Achievers winner, one of 48 Nebraska high school seniors chosen statewide for an awards program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders.
