Fire destroys Marquette home An early morning blaze in below-freezing temperatures claimed a Marquette family home Thursday, drawing response from Marquette, Hampton, Aurora and Central City volunteer departments.

The Alice M. Farr Library will soon be hosting two speakers from Humanities Nebraska through the Friends of the Library. The first visitor will be Charlotte Endorf sharing “Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen.” She will be there on Thursday, Sept. 9 starting at 6:30 p.m.
