The Alice M. Farr Library will soon be hosting two speakers from Humanities Nebraska through the Friends of the Library.
The first visitor will be Charlotte Endorf sharing “Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen.” She will be there on Thursday, Sept. 9 starting at 6:30 p.m.
The second speaker will be Jeff Barnes. His presentation is “Marking Nebraska: Our (Mostly) Hidden Historical Monuments.” That event will be Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Library director Jan Thomsen noted that Humanities Nebraska provides communities across the state with speakers.
“Historians, scholars and other experts offer nearly 300 humanities programs,” she said. “These programs are available to any non-profit organization.”
