Halloween has come and gone for another year by the time this edition hits the press, but from my side of the mask it was a banner year for candy and creativity.

Scare the Square tradition comes back from grave

Scare the Square will be boo-ming back in spook-tacular fashion Thursday at 5 p.m. on the courthouse parking lot with the downtown square closed at 4 p.m. to make way for all the little boys and ghouls who will be out trick-or-treating the brick-laden road.

Aurora native Carl Franklin scared up plenty of good times over Halloween weekend and while doing so put together a big donation for the Hamilton County Food Pantry.

Aurora’s cheer and dance team brought out its spookiest routine during Friday’s halftime routine as Aurora hosted Lexington for the opening round of the playoffs. As Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ blared through the speakers, Aurora’s dancers put on a spooky performance.
